Living Room Storage

Each room has a different reason for storage. The living area accumulates excess amounts of pillows, blankets, remote controls, toys (if you have children), etc. Unless these items double as decor pieces in the layout, you're going to need storage to hold them.
Living room storage items are baskets, console tables, ottomans, decorative bowls, etc. Baskets can be used to storage extra blankets or pillows for when you have company over.  Baskets with tops can also be used to hide all of your kids' toys.
I currently use the drawers on the console table to store mail or other small items until I have the time to sort through it all. I have a decorative on top of the table that catches everyone's car keys as they enter my home (well it actually has leftover Christmas ornaments in it at the moment). Storage ottomans can be used to store just about anything depending on its size. They are great to have especially if you're in a small space. Don’t forget that you can even you use your TV stand as storage. Who says there has to be DVDs and CDs in the TV stand only? Who made that rule? Well I’m here to break it lol.
The importance of living room storage is to keep the room nice, neat and a trip-free zone even when it's a total wreck. Most living rooms are high traffic areas. This space is where a majority of hosting occurs. I think you want to keep the space presentable. Am I right?

For this home, a console table, end tables, and storage baskets are used for storage. The family enjoys keeping tons of pillows and throws so storage baskets come in handy. What can I say? They like to be cozy and comfy at night on the couch. The console table holds the mail, décor pieces not being used and other items such as a book or two. Their end tables are very deep and are home to miscellaneous items like coasters, books, etc.
As you can see the living area is a spot that houses quite a few household necessities. All living rooms should have ample amounts of storage to keep it nice and clutter free to the naked eye. Even if your living room is a certifiable hot mess, that doesn’t mean your company has to know.
Leave me comment/photos of your living room storage. I love to see others’ creativity when it comes to decorating.
